Apology

No actually, I take that back.
I dont apologize, at all. Its my blog and I'll do what I like with it. If I want to write nothing but poetry, perhaps I think your brain needs feeding.
No actually, there is another reason.
Im damn busy. Work is an array of night and day shifts that leave my head spinning. Perhaps once a week, I get to do housework and cook. The animals are not quite neglected, but almost. A lots been going on, I'll try and relate at least some of it.
On Friday I finlly registered the cats - I was on my final notice. Now all the illegal aliens (ferals) are proud upstanding microchipped citizens. It gives me such a sense of pride. And Im not done yet. There are many other bloodthirsty mudering ferals that could make fine citizens. I just need money and time, and I'll begin on that.
The AHSA tentatively accepted my testicle certificate. Did I tell you about the Testicle certificate? I had it filled out for Zayfir in 2007. A few weeks ago I pulled it out, intending to do the big registration that has been waiting since he was born, and gets more expensive whenever I delay. The certificate was incorrect. I got a vet out, but I'd forgotten the blank certificate. So, on friday, the day I did all the odds and ends, I decided to get a new one and trek out to Agnes Banks to have it filled out. Actually registering the stallion was a distant dream.
But, on a whim, I filled out the registration papers. If he was a gelding (he wouldnt need a testicle certificate because he certainly shouldnt have any!) No mistake on his papers would disqualify him, as to register a gelding is free. But I just felt....If someones there, money in hand, with the ALMOST correct paperwork, surely, they'll take the money.
To my surprise, they did! It still has to be checked by the registrar, which means I may have to get another certificate filled out, but for now, the rego is in.
The youngest successful breeder of partbred arabians in Australia - meaning I had a multi champion bred solely by me before I was 22 - now has a registered breeding stallion.
And it aint cheap. Theres my registered stock brand, original cost $200, plus $50 per year, plus the cost of having it actually made, $150, plus getting someone to brand my horses for me! Zayfir's rego - $500 plus my membership fee of $70 for this year. I must be a financial member of the Arabian horse society of Australia now that I own a registered breeding animal. Forever.
Then I bought some cattle wire, and on saturday I took down the old electic fence and put up a new one. Kman slept through the whole thing. But its now shocking at 100% all the way to the back corner.
A few weeks ago, the mare one house over had a baby. This means that she had never been in season, and my fences were never tested by a sexually frustrated stallion. Now, I suppose, we shall see. My new electric was to improve that fence as well as stop Teshan. Teshan took it upon herself to slip through the old fence into the buffer zone while I was at work, causing the raging Zayf to try to mount her through barbed wire. Ive heard of kinky, but jeez guys!
Now she paces and snorts. New fence is impenetrable.
Wistapew is experiencing his own sexual frustration. Its breeding season, he has a female, he even knows what to do, but is simply too polite to climb on top of her. This has caused a slight mental illness in my dear duck - he grabs his own feathers and stresses himself out. Now his oil gland is blocked, needing massages everyday and a change of diet. If you have prayers to send Kleo's way, send them to little Wist, who is not a happy little duck right now.
I had a migraine attack on Thurs night. My first since febuary. I should have known by the all encompassing exhaustion that hit me, but I denied it. I should have known by the unusual goosebumps that flew across my skin, but I denied it. Then the crushing slamming horrific pain, the darkening of the world, and the unbelievable urge to cut my skull open to relieve the pressure. But I should be heading to brain truama rehab soon.
I do plan to finish 'Instrumentality versus individuality' and I have lots of book reviews and reciepes to share. I even have a few sketches - the trick is to try to find enough time to get bored in, so I can work up some inspiration for a sketch. But I'm sorry, (no Im not) you'll all just have to wait until I'm good and damn well ready.
Back soon!
