Kleo Art (Thankyou, Shining Nova)
September 7th 2007 04:36
A few months ago, in the hight of a creative cycle, I happened to create this -
This a lesser known scene from my beloved masterpiece. Since sketching this, (and very casually too) Ive tried to replicate it since, not this same particular scene but the artistic feel to it, the mystery, fantasy and realisim. Ive been constantly dissapionted with my attempts - even screaming - "That took me an hour and a half and I HATE IT!!"
But then....Last weekend before the dreaded job robbed me of my inspiration and creativity, I recieved some advice from a Lily flower.....And realized where Id gone wrong. So I played with an idea....
And then this was really just a play on scale. Some of my dragons are small, some are big, but mostly about the size of a human. Only two dragons in my world are giants. And those two are Poison and Aryeamathea.....
And so, this was born thanks to the inspiration of Shining Nova.....A continuation of the original theme. I know the sizing isnt quite right and thats something to work on, but I really felt I needed to share my renewed inspriation with you.....
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Erm....Dont know whats going on with the extra code everywhere.....Please try to ignore it. I have no idea how to get rid of it.

Glad you liked it, thanks for visiting!
Lily,
Im not sure what it was.....Because I took kittens advice and it didnt work out until I tried Aryeamathea again! I hope Kitten likes them.
Alexondra and Aryeamathea are best friends....Aryeamathea is the dragon Queen, Alexondra is the Ruler of Magic. The first scene is when Alexondra returns home exhausted after a long journey and wakes to find herself in safe hands....
Lilla,
Glad you like it - go on, pick up the brush!

I especially like your dragon's claws in the first one.

What a great imagination you have. Beautiful. The change of perspective is great - gives Aryeamathea a maternal quality.
Like LIlla I feel inspired to pick up the pencil.
Great work

I love the energy you've created in these images. And those dragons? *goose bumps*.... yeah, they can be felt.
Excellent work! May the creativity remain free-flowing! *smiles*

Great to see you! Im glad you liked it. Im fond of pastels as I am of a lot of mediums, but Im usually so busy the pencil's the best I get! Thanks for the comments, always appreciated!
Ash,
Im glad you like them hun. Its supposed to inspire me to write the scenes that go with it, so far thats not working!
Aryeamathea is a bit maternal, a caretaker. I hope you do pick up a pencil dear Ash....
Wendi,
Your comment is extra appreciated, since I know how busy you are right now. Im glad you mentioned the energy....And I thought you'd like the dragons themselves!
Ah, I hope so Wendi! Work tends to suck away my creativity.

Aw thanks, flattery will get you everywhere!
Ive never thought I could draw - Ive just practised and practised and I strongly recommend it. Women are easy since I first started drawing to design clothes - Im still 'practising' men! Its only recently Ive looked at things and gone "yeah, thats cool".
I still havnt even mastered perspective, light sources, or third dimensions!
Im sure Aryeamathea would be very pleased you think so....And as for Alexondra, well, thats kind of what heroines are for....To be impossibly beautiful and brave!
Thanks for visiting!
