Kleos Christmas Message
December 21st 2007 22:45
Hi everyone.
Ive been slack on the blog, so sorry I havnt adorned it with decorations. But this is where I say happy holiday, merry christmas and have a silly silly season....
Id like to remind you all that it was at this time of year a true, enlightened avatar came to earth. Yes people he really came. He was born in a stable, under a blazing star. Kings worshipped him, he came to save us and teach us great secrets, and because humans are for the most part wretched creatures, all we did was fight over his words until they were meaningless. But he came, he was here and it was at this time of year. Remember him.
Also remember that at this time of year(and on other 'religious' holidays) the pagan religions were celebrating long before Christ came along. Some of you out there, like me, while putting up your plastic christmas tree, will remember twining together long pieces of pine branch to adorn the roof, the woodsmoke of the indoor fire and running down a chicken for lunch. The careful decoration of Hazel branches for the door....So the hag cant get in. Remember?
Because this is a magical and powerful time of year. Its when you drink and eat because yes, theres a chance next year will never come. Its on these universal turning points that we used to KNOW not just believe, that the Gods have their finger in the pot, and one snap of ethereal fingers and we're cosmic dust. We could be nothing, just like that.
Therein lies the choice. Struggle, and have life, or give up, and be nothing?
We have evolved too far, to not remember the void, and the precious gift of life. The chance to be SOMETHING, and perhaps something good. The Gods have given us that, a chance, with free will too, to do it as we see fit, even if it means destroying ourselves in pain and bitterness - the Gods love us that much. They'll see us destroy ourselves just so we can know we did it on our own.
But for now, drink, eat, have love and play with presents - fall drunken into the arms of someone who loves you, run silly and full into the rain. Do it all with no rules - who knows whats coming tomorrow, or next year! Take it while you can get it, and celebrate while the Gods allow it!
Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays.....And please, be SILLY this silly season!!!!

What a beautiful spill of warmth Kleo!!, most excellent essence..
I'm at a loss as to how Christmas got to be about getting and not giving. ah the good old days of youth when mum used to open her presents, handmade by us kids.. she would light up, then so would we.........sigh that's what Christmas and New Year means to me, memories of love, and new opportunities to create it..
I hope your Christmas is filled with barrows full to overflow of love and happiness. Happiness is a quick pop in visitor, and i hope it comes to visit you and yours, Kleo.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year dear heart.
Cheers,
~Lily

I always take full advantage of the Silly Season my dear. Happiness and conflict live quite comfortably within me when I bid them to do so!
Hope you have great celebrations and productive New Year loved one.....
Lily,
Darling, how lovely to see you! Isnt it terrible how we forget our friends when we get busy?
All I ever want in the holidays is to be with my family, getting, giving, all thats just shadows compared to loungeing around the house together.
Happiness is surely visiting for now dear one.....Best wishes for you and yours.
