LIFE RETURNS!!!!
February 4th 2009 23:33
Someone at Channel Ten has heard my prayers. Whoever you are, I thankyou.
Channel Ten has been making some mistakes after all. It was obvious that the Australian 'Kenny' was not as popular as it could be, and yet, still, they tried everything to make us watch it - most namely, tying it to The Simpsons so we were almost forced. Dexter is a similar thing - the way it keeps changing days and timeslots, you can just feel that whoever up there loves it is getting frustrated that no one else does.
You know, Id almost missed it. I was desolate. No Charlie, ever again. I was going to have to wait (and wait and wait and wait) until I had money again to buy the first season - which I have seen for sale. Then, because I seriously doubted it would ever come out, special order every last piece of Life I could hunt down. I was just resigned to this. Its happened to me so many times, with so many good shows.
So Id noticed those 'House' ads - "12 eps, NO REPEATS!" Hmmm, that tells you they know they've jipped us, doesnt it? I mean, Id been watching repeats for so long, it took me a confusing ten minutes to even figure out what the hell was going on. But we were into the first ad break.....When the advertised 'LIFE' On in the next slot.
I sat up. I screamed, "CHAAAAARLLIIIIEEEEE! He's back hes back yeah AAAAAALRRRIIIIIIGHT!!!"
Once the excitement died down, I realized what a good thing it was that he had disappeared just before christmas, and brought him back now. That means he's actually valuble in some way, that he's being watched and appreciated. And last nights episode, 'Badge Bunny' did not disappiont. I was particularly excited to see a cops ex wife, named 'Dianna' was an actor from the Xena crew - a stunningly beautiful actress who played Siane, Queen of the Amazons. Charlie was at his level best, and cop on cop tension was beautifully played.
As usual I identified heavily with his partner Dani, she does a magnificent job. Good actors know how to use their body language and all those in this show use it so well. Her uncomfortable twitches when others drink. The tension running through her body just before she kisses her boss - WHOA and wasnt that a great scene! Leading to Charlie at his best, when they meet up later on - "Thats not your gun"
If you have no idea what Im talking about, please visit NBC.Com where you will find extensive information on LIFE, games, photo galleries, Zen diaries, AND FREE EPISODES to watch. There is also a character blog by Charlie's best pal.
So for now Im just going to trip on the sweetness - the smartest show on TV is back and Im going to enjoy it while it lasts! I encourage you to do the same - not much on TV is stimulating for the mind anymore.

Everything
Mmm... Charlie Crews... "definitely a good cop."
That scene you mentioned just after Dani and Tidwell kissed was so funny!
"Did you two come in the same car?"
"Is that glitter on your face?"
"Who's Kathy?"
"That's not your gun."
Fantabulous show.

So great to meet a fellow fan..Last time I posted on the show, I thought no one cared and he would be axed.
Its not that I dont believe Charlie's a good cop...I just want to try the taste test for myself. Gotta be sure about these things yanno!
That scene was so awesome. Theyre just all looking at each other.....Charlie goes, "Bad guys, drug dealers, lets go" So cool....And its great to see Dani bending to Tidwell, because theyve made it so obvious that looks arent high up for her, its a personality thing. I told my man, with out him, Id love a guy like Tidwell!
Glad we can keep watching - I so hope its going to keep going, but I fear it will go the way of 'Battlestar' and 'Rome' - too smart for the average joe.

Mr M and I don't even wait anymore. Mr M torrents the episodes straight from the US. It chews our internet but it's worth it.
We watch Supernatural and they always show half a season and stopped it for weeks on end and then bring it back. I can't wait. Bloody channel 10.
Love & stuff

Kman and I have been talking about how all the networks are slitting their own throats with this - they dont realize that jack of repeats, people will just download it or order it on DVD and so no one cares when it comes back on. Im just so happy to have it back - I normally dont get in to crime shows, but Ive loved Charlie and Danni from the beginning. How good is her relationship with Tidwell!
Great to see another fan!
