More Wolves

Still in time order, this poem directly after 'still on the hunt'
She Wolf - and the Dark Wolf
She Wolf trots through dark landscapes,
the dark wolf by her side in unision
together they play each other
and the sound is like a symphony,
as they make their moves
and play with all their skill.
She Wolf's quick mind begins to dull
are these the only tricks he knows?
As she begins to win,
he becomes savage
and ravishes her with all his strength
grips and pushes with all his power.
But She Wolf, though pleased,
is unmoved.
She is still winning.
Even when her cries are in pain -
she sees his face.
Victory is hers.
The long canines stretch,
in an exaggerated yawn
She is too lazy to find another
and he is satisfying enough
so, she keeps him, trapped
in her emerald net,
watching those velvet eyes,
as they search hers,
cautiously, she allows this,
for what power might he store there?
