Stars dim and quiet
night in final hush
broken by ignorant movement
or predators cry herein.

Wind whispers cool silky calm
after day of clashing bright
sweaty heat
harsh reflection
from mans surfaces
increases her fury anew.
Moisture in air
should bring refreshed peace
but now beads and swells
heating to the boil
till the air is a sticky suit
burning on the outside.
But night brings release
sun covered over in cloud
blanketing his sleep
tired of the fun he has wrought
sun goes to bed
and lets cool night
begin at her peaceful work.
