This song tickles me so! I love it so much - who else loves it? It's an added bonus for me that it has wicked beat thats easily danced to, and that its by my most loved Shakira. Its been awhile since we heard from this great lady. Who can forget 'Whenever, Wherever' ? and the stunning 'Underneath your clothes' which I knew so well I even recognized it in another language on a korean radio station!

Some of you may know that I have a horse named Shakir. I did not think of this lovely minstrel while naming him. I was reading the book of baby names, I wanted something that echoed the horse's sire - SK Shakla Kahn - and when I stumbled upon 'Shakir' Indian for thanks and praise to the Gods I deemed it appropriate, as we had just lost a young one and I wanted to shout joy at Shakir's birth coming out alright. Even if he was damaged, he was alive. More often these days he is called, 'Little Shooks' his dad was the original 'Shooks' or The Boss.

Now, my ears pricked when I heard, 'Shakira, new song!' but when I heard it was named SHE WOLF......I just went all atwitter (and no I dont tweet I am not a Twit that word had other meanings before it became another useless time wasting device) because my oldest readers will know, I have been writing 'She Wolf' poems since I was about 14. Its been awhile now since I wrote one, but I'm feeling mightily inspired.
