Kalikapsychosis - " All I see is 6 billion lunatics looking for the fastest ride out. Who's not crazy? Look around. Everyone's drinking, smoking, shooting up, shooting each other, or just plain screwing their brains out....Cos they don't want 'em anymore. I'm Crazy? Honey, I'm the original one eyed chicklet in the Kingdom of the blind, cos at least I admit the world makes me nuts." - Glory

Spellworking 4 - Believe It

April 7th 2008 02:21

So, by this point you might be thinking, How do I get started? I have described everything so far as if my readers are naturals and simply know what to do - I have described the importance of thought, visualization, perception and focus here -
Really Long Link

But how is it put into practise?

First, I will describe how to concentrate your aura to the point that any layperson can feel it. Id like to describe the essence of aura and exactly what it is, as well.

I dislike the term 'aura' even though it is technically true. A more correct term is 'Electro Magnetic Pulse' and it makes a lot more sense to the practical minded. As you are more than likely aware, nerves in your body do not touch one another but communicate through small bursts of electricity. It is these constantly firing nuerons that create the EMP and cause it to eminate from your physical form. The EMP of each individual is a perfect shere encompassing the body and DaVinci's 'Vetruvian man' shows it best. As I have mentioned ( Really Long Link ) if a soul becomes old enough the aura becomes so concentrated it begins to bleed into 'wings' and these will push the sphere out further.

If you are already spellworking or meditating Im sure you are already familiar with the specific dimensions of your EMP and perhaps even that of those around you. If you have attempted to set up a 'magic' or 'protective' circle you will have felt and seen its circumfrence glowing.

The exercise I recommend is to sit somewhere quiet - anywhere will do and it doesnt have to be outdoors - and hold your hands up in the universal 'prayer' position. With one difference - do not let your hands touch. Hold them only the slightest bit apart but keep them lined up. Then, curl your fingers in until all 4 are directly facing one another and the heels of your hands are touching. Make sure each finger is lined up to its counterpart....And wait. It takes longer for some people than for others but it really does work for every one. Merely wait until you feel something - heat, tingling, pins and needles, whatever you feel is individual. Some people feel cold. Once you have some kind of feeling in your fingertips, begin to move your fingers very slightly from side to side. Do not break your stance, the heels of your hands should still be together and if you are wiggling up and down or side to side your fingers should be re aligning and slightly unlining themselves. Most people will begin to feel a strange magnet like feeling as the opposing fingertips pass one another - like the repel and attract of the opposite magnetic poles. Some just feel heat or a slight tingling. Whichever you feel as your fingertips pass one another, congratulations, you've found your aura.

You can jump this up a step and feel this throughout your whole palm, and then once meditating you can actually feel your energy reaching out and 'bouncing' off the walls of the aura itself. Once you have felt your own aura - you dont need to see it but after this exercise some people will begin to - it becomes that much easier to feel that of others. Animals are easier as generally they are open about it, humans tend to be slightly 'scrambled'.

It is extremely useful, particularly at this stage, to begin to notice body language. Watch animals and watch people and with this extra sensory you now have it becomes easy to see when people are thinking something other than they are saying. Notice eyes and mouths and facial tension but far more important is the movement of shoulders, torso and the shuffling of feet. A persons voice can also give them away or the flick of their eyes.

Notice pack behaviour. Who is the Alpha female or male in your pack? Who is the submissive? All of these things coupled with a bit of feeling out the aura can tell you so much about people.

Beware however. Continue down this track and you will learn more than you may want to. The next step is reading minds.

As before, animals will be open, familiars more so. Practise the above tricks at home in safety before you venture out with it, and take your time in this stage.

The most important thing, is to believe what you feel. Your instincts do not lie, and if you begin to feel something, anything, do not use the excuses of the modern world - "Oh, its a change of air pressure" or "its my arthritis playing up" excuses are all they are. If you are making excuses like that you are not cut out for spellwork and you need to leave it well alone. If you believe what you feel and what you see then it becomes more and more real and, you may even begin to feel spiritual presences such as ghosts and lesser fey. I believe all humans have these abilities and yet do not choose to use them, which is why I mention belief.

This is not an "i believe in fairies I do I do" moment. These exercises do not require your belief to work, they have worked in the past on hardened skeptics. However all skeptics in my experience become afraid.

"You must not enter the circle with fear in your heart"

And thus, if you gain some effect and try to palm it off on some natural phenomenon, spellwork is not for you. If you wish to continue then believe in your own power, believe what happens to you and what you can do - but also keep an objective mind and be able to separate the super natural from the natural.

That becomes more and more important as you become more advanced.

Nothing works unless it's empowered with intention and faith kleo, you're right about that.

Raven,
I have turned skeptics into believers within 5 minutes, so I stress you do not need to believe in it for it to work, and for the skeptics, feeling their own aura was enough to turn them screaming in the opposite direction scrabbling for excuses.

For them, thats fine, they dont want to go further. But if you want to go further, you gotta believe...

Yup, a good point, kleo, most people that get interested, do so because of the prospects for manifestation of phenomena, the very thing that will scare them away.. odd isn't it?

Yep, odd indeed.

To convince my best friends boyfriend I had him feeling his aura, he made some excuses, so I ripped out the ouija board....Oh, man, I thought I was gonna see a grown man cry like a baby. He was terrified, especially when the glass continued to move with no one touching it.

Ease them into it with a pendulum or something, the board terrifies many first timers kleo.
