Spellworking 2 - Deities

There is an intricate ladder that makes up what I like to call 'The Soul Strata System'. In basic terms, that means that just like in a mystical video game, some souls are 'higher' or 'lower' than others but this does not mean in any way that some are lesser and others are more. All individuals are equal in the Strata System but the 'levels' simply mean tasks completed, lessons learned and strengths gained. Generally this translates to more lives lived, but some souls accomplish more in one life than others. Then you get nutballs that just keep coming back even when theyve learned everything.
If you think this is complete bullshit and Im fabricating it, please leave now. I would like to warn you (as I do in my blog tag line up above, mixed in with my personal joke) that certain religions, even those who claim to be connected to spellworking, may find things I am going to say extremely offensive. You may think Im lying, thats ok, you are entitled to that, and if you think Im nuts, you're entitled to that too, but you dont need to punish the rest of us for that opinion. The things Im am going to say are as true to me as the air I breathe and I endeavor to deliver it to you in the same words as it is in my mind.
The 'Goal' of the game of life means - Everybody Wins. To 'Win' in the game of life you need to go straight upstairs from the playing fields (where we are right now) if you lose, you drop down, but the most common thing is to end up back on the ladder and be reborn here on the playing fields to give it another go. I also believe that everytime you are here on the field, you wrote your own playing card or 'destiny' when you were on the other side, and most of the time you are wandering around lost down here saying "Why is God doing this to me?" when in actual fact, you did it to yourself. You choose your parents, where you would be born, your strengths, weaknesses and the tools you thought might get you through. You even roughly drew a 'path' for yourself, divining where you would go and what you would learn. Chances are, the older and stronger you are, the more difficult you made your path, just because you knew you could handle it. Exceptionally strong people tend to choose abusive parents or destructive families in poor areas, believing they can 'help' them in some way. Just on that note - despite despair and torment these souls generally do elevate the lives of those around them. Just by being there.
Brand newies and inexperienced souls generally choose higher classes and easier paths and who can blame them? The playing fields are fruaght with danger and mayhem and other crazy souls. If you are too new to choose, or you just cant decide, or if your old and say 'surprise me' the lesser Gods will choose for you and that generally goes badly.
Souls generally forget everything when they return. This is a conciouss decision - before you 'leave' for your new body you choose tools, strengths, weaknesses, then you get to decide if you take your memory. Its a tricky one - if you take your memory you have all your skills, all your lessons and all the power you have accrued so far, a bit like reloading a saved game with a new player. The catch is, often all of that doesnt fit into the puny human brain - you have access to it all, but not all at once, and sometimes the pressure of so much memory cramming itself into a human body causes a frission crack in the mind. I speak from personal experience here. You will also 'glow' strangely and people will seek you out - you will seem denser and deeper and more mysterious than the average Joe, and this can be dangerous in itself. The benefit is if you have brought your memory, you have the right tricks up your sleeve to deal with all of this attention. With all this memory, you feel damn empowered, almost Godlike compared to other humans, and quickly become frustrated that you are human and bound by human limitations. Sometimes, just like in a video game, you will attempt to use a previously learned trick, and find it locked against you. Even though you know the method, it doesnt work. The reasoning behind this is simple - we simply cannot have humans running around all over the playing field with the ability to move buildings.
If you choose to forget and just be human, this can be even more frustrating. You have attempted to be 'normal' and just like every one else but quickly find you are not. There is still a sense of 'deepness' that other people sense, and as soon as you get here, you begin to remember even though you chose to forget. You may find yourself feeling like you are continually reaching and unable to grasp what you seek. Finding out things you already know hit with the light of revelation and you find yourself re learning things. Personally, I think its worth the risk of bringing your memories - a little insanity is well worth it, I dont want to go over the same paths blindly and there is no way, NO WAY Im coming back down here without the tips and tricks Ive learned.
Now, you may notice up there Ive said 'Lesser Gods'. Hey wait! Isnt there only one deity? One Divine? YES, and I define it as - the heart of matter, Light, Sun, Male. The Dark, The void, space, nothingness, Female. Joined together these two things create LIFE and thus are The Creator. Though conciouss in a way the only thing The Creator does is expand the universe by creating more life - us and the planets we live on - and contrary to popular belief The Creator wether in its male or female part does not sit around listening to prayers and answering them. Believe me, the Divine is WAY too busy for all of that. Even the billions of grains of sand on one tiny beach pray and have a sense of their path, and when it comes to a scale like that, you have to understand it is not The Creator's responsability to look after us.
Here on Earth we are ruled by The Milky Way Galaxy itself - which is an entity! It thinks, it moves through the universe and in a sense, The Milky Way Galaxy answers the prayers of the lesser Gods. Before I explain the Lesser Gods let me explain the Greater Gods.
The Greater Gods of Earth are the moon and the sun and the earth itself. The Earth can be male or female - most think of it as 'Mother Earth' and give it female properties but in truth it is both. The molten core of its heart represents male and the flesh - the Earth of the earth - represents female. Both polar opposites are found within the planet. The Sun represents the sperm of creaton, the polar of male which creates day, and the moon, ruling the tides and the female menstrual cycle is the polar of female in the dark void. We use these polar opposites to represent the aspects of the greater Creator in our puny little human minds. As for planets like Mercury, Mars, Venus or the rest - they are separate entites themselves, ruled by the Milky Way, and who knows what life may live on them and pray to the Creator itself?
Now for the lesser Gods. We speak of Angels, Devils, spirits. There are more than a myriad - Ghosts, gremlins, elementals, my God, I could be here all day! We also have Jesus and Krishna and other enlightened ones.
In the evolution of the earth we have original humans from millenia ago that were wiped out by planetary catastrophe. Their souls have reamained, along with the first Tree, the first water drop, etc! All these things have an ENTITY which they gaurd as surely as we protect our own ego. For those that remain on earth - mostly, spiritual forms of elemental energy - the path is finished and they are waiting for that great day when 'Everybody Wins'. They want to help us get there and thus answer our prayers and help us along. Being elemental, they may not have a 'human' perspective and are not always helpful. In this category I heap all the lesser fey - the wood sprites and gremlins and poltergiests and water spirits.
The Angels and the Demons are what I refer to as lesser Gods. When we pray, those are the ones who hear, when we recieve what we've asked for, these are who provide it. They were once human and often manifest in human form. They understand ears and eyes and flesh and purity and sin in a way the Creator never can - because it is not human! We need human guides if we are human. Sounds simple doesnt it? They are often shown with halos to signify their massive aura - having 'Finished' the game they are complete and need not return to a body, the only thing they can do is try and hurry up the rest of us. They are often shown as winged because if you return to earth enough times your aura will become so concentrated it bleeds out into wings because it can no longer be contained within a sphere surrounding your body. If you feel old enough, meditate on your wings and try to feel where they sprout from your body. At the very least it makes you feel taller.
Demons are not technically 'bad' as Angels are not specifically 'good'. It all comes down to a personal choice of what sort of energy you want to immerse yourself in. Obviously Angels have chosen brighter feelings and Demons darker ones, but I stress again, both evolve the same way, NOT in separate directions. Some, like me, cannot choose and end up trying to cut straight down the middle - sometimes called lesser demons or grey angels. This path is becoming more common as we see the truth of the balance.
Throughout time entities with such power have returned to inspire us to greater efforts of evolution, these are Jesus specifically, Krishna, but do not forget entities like Artemis, Athena and even the Medusa. All of theses beings - any you can find and name - can be called upon or prayed to. I have 'chosen' Kalika as my ruling deity because in my mind she symbolizes everything I stand for. I use chosen loosly because I believe she chose me and not the other way around. The essence of Kali is the void, the ultimate level of female, which, as I explained before, cannot be specifically relied upon to answer prayers. Once freed of my material body, perhaps I could talk to her, but as a human no.
But Kali was given a PERSONALITY by her religious followers, which leads me to believe, as with all gods and goddeses that are recorded as having personalities that she was in a human form once, and that is what I pray to. In essence, all this means, once there was a powerful priestess who had completed her tasks - she taught others what she had found and seen which happened to be the destructive side of the Universe in its female form, and in thanks, her followers remembered her. I have no doubt that in the original records of ANY Godess or God it was expressly written or transcribed that they were human with insight, but over the years and the erosion of history it is warped and romantisised into a place where we end up believing in all sorts of bullshit. The only lesser God who has managed to keep a correct record of his humanity thus far was Jesus.
So, to believe in a variety of deities doesnt make you wrong, it makes you correct. They are lesser Gods and they know it, all entities, even the Milky Way itself, is at the mercy of the Creator, and the day the great mother and father disentangle themselves from the big shag, the universe falls apart. That is why the ultimate state of the Divine is described as supreme ecstasy - The ultimate polar of male and female getting it on...Light, dark, frission, life....Its a big bang every second. Didnt you ever wonder why we are so obsessed with sex? Not just humans but animals and plants too - when the orgasam point is reached, we tap in directly to the Creator and it is THE ONLY time we do. The stupidest things humans do is try and rationalize it, the urge, the desire, prove, desperately somehow, that we are not animals.
Ive got news for you. So long as you do it, no matter what excuses you make, you are an animal. Here in flesh thats what you are to the Creator and thats how it is supposed to be. Despite being loved (far removed) children, we are nothing but animals to our great parents.
It is only the lesser Gods and the spirits attached to the Earth that can see us as having a greater potential - because they themselves have lived it and are trying to help us up - give us and hand or a boot in the butt, whatevers needed to reach the next stage and become like them.
After the state of attaining Lesser God staus, there is planet or 'heavenly body' status. Then, galaxy.
Could you handle the Milky Way's job?
Better stay here on Earth then. Getting out of bed doesnt seem quite so hard now does it?

Sure was. It aint finished. This was supposed to be 'deities and familiars' but I had to split it cos I got caught up in this. Im planning a series.
