Introduction to Faery Wicca Tarot(plus some updates)

Last year, in Febuary, I went to visit mum in law. We've had visits since then, but on that visit, she gave us our chrissi presents for 2006. Mine was the amythyst and silver ring, that, despite losing two stones, is still on my left hand and never leaves it. Im going to paint over the holes to make it look respectable, as its power has not diminished the slightest amount. Ive finally found a ring for my right hand too....Just need to purchase it.
My other gift from Momma Jane was a deck of Tarot cards - The Faery Wicca Tarot. Years ago she gave me a set of 'Titiana's tarot' a very simple and basic deck of utterly simple and spare images, that I grew to love. It didnt have many cards however, so the interpretation was limited.
On picking up the deck of Faery Wicca cards, I could feel the power. They were weighty somehow, more than slips of cardboard should be, and the power in them was awesome.
I was afraid to open the box.
I had a brief moment of dissappiontment to see that despite symbols and images being spot on they were actually printed in America, and not in Ireland, as they roughly claimed. I wasnt too bothered as I have the ability of all magicians to see links and draw them together, so it didnt bother me. What did bother me slightly was that it seemed Irish celtic based, when the origin of Faery Wicca is actually English. Well, ok, if you want me to get SPECICFIC (which is impossible in history anyway) all the wiccan/pagan religions of that time in those countries were very similar and bled into and through one another with very little difference. If it HAD an origin at all it was probably Atlantis....If you believe in ledgend, which I usually do.
The power of Gaelic as a language cannot be denied, and all the celtic symbols are exactly the same wether you are in Scotland, England Ireland or Wales - The Spirals, the Labrynths, the Double Spiral, the Chalice....
And the symbols on the cards, as I said, were spot on.
I got them out a lot and looked at them. Easily twice as many as my previous deck, and far more complex. Limitless interpretation. I didnt agree with everything the girl said in her little instruction book. But thats common.
I looked at them a lot.
A few weeks ago I finally got up the courage to start my interpretations of each card - my base reading for that card as an individual. How it felt and what it represented. I began at the start and began the suits, doing a lot of 10 at a time. Im not even halfway through. Often I disagree with the interpretation in the guide book but that doesnt trouble me.
These cards are the first magical items Ive ever had that seem to think - that seem to have power over their own destiny. They could work me, and I could work the world through them. The hardest thing about them, is to ask them to be tarot cards - JUST tarot cards - and not sentinals of destiny. They beg to be allowed to tweak strings.
My interpretation may take a long time. Its all part of binding me to them, them to me, asking for their patience and obediance to me. Letting them know that yes, I will use them to their greatest advantage, but they must do as I say. They must wait for direction and respect me as I respect them.
Ive had other cards that seem alive, heavy with their own concioussness. Years ago Kman got me into 'Magic The Gathering' now fuck knows whats going on in that world now - card extensions and rules upon rules and cards within cards ruined that game in tournament for me. But I was never fond of tournament - 62 cards only, 20 life, and the game usually wraps up within 15 mins. I liked piling up about 300 cards, giving each player over 100 life and playing for literal DAYS! I got favourite cards that always graced my deck, such as Chainer, the Dementia Master and his greatest creation, the Hypnox. The bird warrior queen of the mysterious 'Aven' race, half bird half human. The slieght of hand sorcery.
When I work on my Tarot deck, these cards call to me. They say despite being manufactured for a different purpose, I have energised them, and THEY would like to be my Tarot deck. They say once I have Faery Wicca worked out I should choose the same amount of cards from my Magic decks and turn them into Tarot decks.
I like the idea - really, I do, but what if I want to play magic? I dont know. Its complex. But I am happy my interpretation has finally begun!
Updates!
Magnus is wet, and still upset he doesnt have that stable we promised him. Zayfir is still lame and trying to prove he isnt. Shakir and Spirit are bored, Teshans being cheeky and her weights going up and down. They are all getting wormed today.
Najara is boucing on my head.......Her boyfriend comes every day and begs her to join in the nightly Mynah bird root fest in the front yard. He brings worms to the window. Ive been instructed to offer him a cheese sandwhich(her favourite food) and if the offering is acceptable, she'll tell him Im cool and he should come with me. I dont think its going to work.
The cats are bored and throwing up furballs all over the house. Thats what I get for buying 'furball control' catfood.
Pidge the didge could not be happier with her forced confinement. I can tell she wants a fly, but I'll get to it....She seems happy being a couch pigeon.
Yesterday, I rescued a dove from the woodshed. Got caught in there somehow. Now, years ago, that would have been the HIGH point of the day. I wouldve told EVERYONE. Now its just really another incident. But she was the sweetest thing - The same breed as Jasmine Dove and AngelStar. I went in and scooped her up, she was exhausted, obviously stuck in there for most of the day. Only a baby with barely showing adult feathers. She sat in my hand for a moment, wide eyed and terrified and looking at me in disbelief. I had plenty of time to make her my own if I had wanted, she seemed to be asking for it! "We've heard about you guys - when you catch birds instead of killing them you set them up with their own rooms and endless food, warm baths and hot water bottles in winter!" But she flew away, and I was glad. I wished her luck and told her to return whenver she liked.
Now....For Talli and Wist. Im not sure if you call it a mating dance or not but all he does is chase her and try to breed her! Hopefully hearing the peep peep of little webbed feet very soon....

So many decks like this, so many kingdoms and realms to explore... *chuckle* I am so glad your own journey has begun in ernest.
I frolic daily with my own unicorns, mermaids and dolphins, faeries, elfs and angels... and many more of heavier symbolic realms.
I love the symbolism of the Celts as you have described it, you really bought it to life in your words.

Doves appearing to you like that suggest many things, but amongst them news that the souls of the dearly departed are well and make a smooth transition.
According to Steve F, Doves also signal that '...you are experiencing a spiritual renewal after that's the result of a period of intense self-examination and challenges (like moving and building fences???)... *chuckle* Doves also come to tell you that now commences a '...powerful time of prophecy and clear vision, and now, more than ever you will be able to glimpse the future...
I'd say that's quite apt, considering the title of the post... why am I not surprised that it s through the portals of the earth elementals? *lol*
