Kalikapsychosis - "Perfection is what its about. When you can feel, the perfection, of creation. The beauty of physics, the wonder of mathematics all the elation of action, and reaction, and that is the kind of perfection that I want to be connected to" - Sam, hooked into the data stream

Well. Winter's over.

July 1st 2009 01:48
As usual, Mum went completely mental over the shortest day of the year. She holds her own private little festival over it, and reminded me harshly of its arrival. Since that day I've keenly felt the few minutes that extend each day, and the burning fury of the sun as he returns to his direct line above our heads. The other day, burning up under him, I thought, we will need every drop of this recent downpour to survive the summer. He is going to be even more fierce when he returns this year.

Yesterday, with the sun mercifully covered, it felt like winter again. And not just cold, but dark, utterly, utterly dark. A lovely day. But this morning, I awoke to warm air. Even Kman commented on the fact it was warm when he got up. It is possible that another snow fall is coming, which would account for the strange heat, but even if the cold days return, I cannot shake the feeling that winter's just gone.

And Im warm again. The Deralin has fully left my system and once more I feel like my bones are afire, Im not cold no matter what. There is a numbness, a suggestion of pain over the left side of my face that occasionally pounds, but I can live with that, especially since the Endep is giving me such lovely floaty effects. Whoa, it can raise you up, and crash you down, but its like having the frequency strumming through my skin a lot of the time. Its transcendant.

All of my animals have gone completely over the edge, and I dont know why. Im used to them making life hard for me - cats who dig huge holes in the litter, throwing it on the floor, only to not use the box at all, horses pushing fences over, refusing to be caught, cats peeing on my stuff, Bink terrorizing all and sundry, but lately, they've made an effort to make it hard for themselves!

Shakir refused to have his rug off today. Teshan, 'miss hard to catch' was positively demure, Spirit, 'the original unknown quantity' stood calm and quiet, and Shakir, usually, 'the little gentleman' ran like he had bees up his butt. I was so disgusted I could have kicked him bloody. But horse training makes you a patient person. If I screamed - "sweat to death then!" and left, when he did finally agree, sweating and exhausted, that would be my fault too. So I have to perservere. I eventually give in and use food, but I give him a 15 minute rug training for his trouble. Which involves a very satisfying throwing the rug at him in a terrifying manner until he stands up. I won, he did. He knows the go, he's just being a pig, and what I dont know is WHY.

Like Zayfe, yesterday, when we went out to work. Dont get me wrong, he's a young horse, no angel, and loves to misbehave, but yesterday he tied himself in knots. He was ANGRY and frustrated and refused to soften up. This is a new thing for him. Generally, he will misbehave before he conforms, being a smart boy, he knows if he does as he's told, its all over the sooner and he's eating his food. Not so yesterday. He worked out screwing his head a certain way would flip the rein over his head, tearing the bit out of his mouth. So we have to stop, put him back together, and start again. Once he made a game out of it, I discovered a little screw of my own, with the wrist, so just before he can flip the rein over his ear, I snap the lunge line tight so he nearly falls over. Bingo, magic ticket. All fell into place, but when we were done he ran off, all temper and tantrum, when usually we have a cuddle.

The ducks are quaking non stop and I dont know whats up. They have fresh seed, fresh water, and theres no lurking predators. But still, they want something.

Bink has taken to stealing my LIT cigarettes and trying to set the house on fire.

The cats who hate each other have started snuggling up together.

One of mums dogs refuses to get out of bed. The other whines to get out and then, for unknown reasons, makes a beeline for the road.

To add insult to injury, Im denied the use of my oven once more. After struggling with it for so long, and finally getting a new one from the landlord, the mice have ripped out the insulation. Kman tried to fix it, and was unsuccessful. So its a no go zone. Whats a baker without an oven? Not a baker......

And yesterday, a bitch in heat did the pied piper thing and led a team of males across my property. Rampant rooting went on until Shakir and Teshan escorted them for the property.

At least, Kman and I had a good length of snuggle time last night. Woods done, dinners cooked......Might get in some meditation this afternoon. If the animals dont get anymore insane.
