White Hawk (2)

The white hawk returns to her throne,
she watches quietly,
with dispassionate eyes
the bloody events of the afternoon.
Though I am too busy to speak to her -
Some unspoken communication ripples.
I need good luck.
Such a small tiny, little amount
to make it go aright
I think she understands.
I tend the injured steed,
I play the waiting game
she watches calmly, silently,
with her judging gaze,
I worry for my lover,
while I wait,
on so many things
My whole life held in suspended balance
resting on white wings.
I am not sad-
later, to see her gone,
I hope she caught a good supper
And passes my message on.
*PS, I will be on tomorrow to read all the posts from my buddies that Ive missed over the last few days - Ive been keeping an eye out and theres so much I want to catch up on! Just had to get these poems out before they went stagnant.
So long as theres no disaster, see you all tomorrow!*

I didnt realize till I wrote it, the idea is from "The heavenly horse of the outer most west" which is a great book, the messenger between gods and animals is the white owl - he holds a balance on his white wings.
